Benson-Pease.

On Saturday, at St. Helen’s, Thurnscoe, the Rev. J. H. Edwards officiating, the wedding took place of Mr. T. Benson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Benson, 89, Lambert Road, Kendray, and Miss A. Pease, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pease, 103, Lidgett Lane, Thurnscoe East.

The bride was given away by her cousin. Mr. John Lunnese (Goldthorpe), and wore royal blue crepe de Chine and blue straw hat, and was attended by Miss L. Benson in fawn silk flowered dress: Miss S. E. Havershaw, in green silk and black silk coatee: Miss M. Wilcock in blue flowered silk, with net costes; and Miss S. Haywood in green silk with coatee trimmed with white fur.

The best man was Mr. A. Benson and the groomsman Mr. J. Pease. About fifty guests were received at a reception at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Payne, who wore red flowered velvet.
