Obituary – Hoerace Edward Beardshall
The death took place last week of a former well known resident, Mr. Horace Edward Beardshall, at his residence, 147, Deightonby’ Road, Thurnscoe East. He was 59.
He was born at Birdwell, and before he moved to Thurnscoe, was connected with the Rockingham Methodist Sunday School and Church, where he was married to Miss Lily Bullock, a member of another well-known Birdwell family.
He moved to Thurnscoe over 30 years ago and was previously employed at Rockingham Colliery.
At Thurnscoe he was organist and choirmaster at St. Hilda’s Church for many years and was keenly interested in various choral societies. He leaves a widow, two sons and one daughter.
The interment took place on Saturday
