Wedding: Hoggart & Chandler
The Rev. G. H. Wheeler officiated at the wedding at St. Helen’s Church, Thurnscoe, on Saturday of Mr. Walter Chandler, 17 Marlboro’ Avenue, Thurnscoe, and Miss Jessie Hoggart, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Hoggart, 6, Chapel Street, Thurnscoe.
The bride was given away by her father and wore ivory silk lace with necklet of blue butterfly wings, and carried white stocks and lilies and maidenhair fern.
Her maids, Misses Clarice Bradley and Hilda Purdy, wore blue and white crepe suede and pea green satin respectively with black picture hats, and carried blue iris and tulips and maidenhair fern. Two small attendants, Dorothy Burton and Vera Hanson, wore floral pink silk and coral satin respectively, and carried Victorian posies of primroses. Mr. C. Chandler was best man, and Mr. N. Hoggart groomsman.
