Thurnscoe Girl on Remand.

Dorothy Short, domestic servant, of 55, Castle Street. Thurnscoe, was remanded for a week at Barnsley yesterday on a charge of stealing fruit from a Barnsley market stallholder by means of a trick.

The Chief Constable (Mr. G. H. Buller) said the girl’s parents had been interviewed and refused to attend court for the hearing of the case and he wished to make further inquiries.
