Hickleton Prevail On Bowlers’ Wicket

Hickleton won their third successive game on Saturday, defeating Sheffield Utd. by 6 wickets in a low scoring match on a bowlers’ wicket. W. Lockwood (6 for 25) and Joe Riley (4 for 16) bowled unchanged to dismiss the visitors for 53 (S. Lynch 11).
Hickleton Iost H. Riley, J. Threlfall, A. Turner (15) and J. Hutchinson with 37 runs on the board. R. Butler (9 not out) and G. Gibbs (11 not out), batted cautiously. Gibbs making the winning hit in a score of 57 for 4 wickets.
A feature of the innings was the bowling of A. Stainrod who took all four wickets for 16 runs, and at one time had 4 for 6. He bowled five successive maiden overs.
