Takes County Title
In spite of arriving just 10 minutes before the weigh in for his bout in the West Riding A.B.A. bantamweight title contest at St Patrick’s Hall, Leeds, due to a puncture to the car he was travelling, Keith Greaves (20) completely outboxed his opponent Roger Parkinson (Wakefield) and took the title.
It was his first fight at bantamweight.
Keith is the son of Mr and Mrs Greaves, 87 Merrill Road, Thurnscoe, and is registered from the Plant Works, Doncaster, but a nose injury has kept him out of boxing for some time.
