Beighton Miners’ Welfare Draw
Beighton Miners’ Welfare dropped a valuable point when entertaining Thurnscoe Vics. The visitors took the lead through Aveyard, following a quick forward movement, but soon after Walker beat Corrigan to put the home team level terms. Thurnscoe regained the lead through Jenklnson and Wroe netted third before the interval.
For 30 minutes the home side had Todd off the field through an inlurv. Woodhead reduced the arrears, and then Driver put the home side level. After smart work Turner the home side took the lead through Walker. A breakaway by the visitors resulted in Hale conceding a penaltv which Venables converted. The home side retaliated and Woodhead regained them the lead only for Avevard to snatch a point for Thurnscoe near the end.
Turner played an outstand game at inside right for Peighton.
