Mr. C. Wilson, builder and contractor, Chapel street, Thurnscoe, has now been officially notified that his son, Pte. G. A. Wilson (Machine Gun Corps) is wounded, and has been missing since Aug 26.

Another son, Ernest, who won the Military Medal, has been missing since July 1, 1916, and is presumed dead.

A son-in-law was accidentally drowned while serving with the R.F.A. in Mesopotamia.

Pte. G. A. Wilson, who joined the Army in 1914, was formerly a bricklayer employed at the Houghton Main Colliery. He originally enlisted in a Scottish regiment, and has been in France over two years. Any intelligence of him would ‘be gratefully welcomed by the family.
