Selling Tobacco In The Street.
An unusual charge, that of hawking tobacco in the street, was preferred at Barnsley on Wednesday against Isaiah Stewart. of Thurnscoe.
P.C ChilIis said he was on duty in plain clothes in Pickup Crescent, Wombwell.
He saw Stewart hand cigarettes to women, and witness bought two packets of Woodbines from him.
At the police station he found a quantity of tobacco in defendant’s possession.
A fine of 24s. was imposed.
