A Thurnscoe Bride

Six bridesmaids attended Thurnscoe bride Miss Eileen Brookes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Brookes of 33, High Street, at her marriage to Mr. Dennis Arthur Cooper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cooper, of 25, Browning Road, Mexborough.

The Rev. D. D. Wilson officiated at the ceremony at the Central Hall Methodist Church, Thurnscoe. Miss Irene Clennel was at the organ. The bride, given away by her father, wore a white brocade full-length dress with a scalloped neckline and carried white carnations and orchids,

She was attended by Misses Margorie Brookes, Mavis Elizabeth Sanderson, Patricia Ann Lees, Susan Cooper, Kathleen Joyce and Elizabeth Gage.
