Back from Cyprus
Thurnscoe Man To Return To The Mines
When Thomas Davies, a 25 years old private in the York and Lancaster Regiment, arrived at his home in Lidgett Lane, Thurnscoe last week, it marked the end of 2 ½ years worry for his parents, who during that time Thomas, attached to the Royal Army veterinary Corps as a dog handler, has been tracking down wanted terrorists in Cyprus with the aid of tracker dogs.
Although asked about his experiences in cyberspace parents, Mr and Mrs William Davies, Thomas has declined to talk about them, saying, “Let’s forget it. I’m home now and that’s where I’m going to say.”
His three years engagement with the Army expires in March, but Thomas has already made his mind up what he is going to do.
