A Bull At Large At Thurnscoe.

Wm. Smith, a farmer, of Thurnscoe, was summoned for allowing a bull to be at large in a field through which there was a public footpath.

Defendant appeared, and pleaded guiltv.

P. c. Wordsworth stated that on Monday, the 26th May, at 1-45 p.m., he was on duty in Back lane, Thurnscoe, when he saw a bull in a field belonging to Mr. Smith with some other cattle. There is a footpath across the field.

Defendant said he was quite ignorant of the law in regard to the matter.

He was ordered to pay the costs, 9s.
