A Thurnscoe East Schoolboy Footballer

Hampshire is a sturdily built lad who played in the Thurnscoe Council team before he was transferred to the new Thurnscoe East School.

Playing at centre-forward he scored many goals for Thurnscoe Council. Occasionally he played in the Dearne Valley team last year. This year he has played consistently for his new school and got into the Association team to the exclusion of Dyson late in the season.

He has found a little more speed and is a dangerous forward in interschool football. He reads his wing men well, but does not work so successfully with his other inside forwards. He has plenty of dash and a strong shot
