Auld Lang Syne
Mr. John Winnikin, for many years general manager and agent of the Hickleton Main Colliery, has retired to St. Annes-on-Sea and left Thurnscoe this week. On Sunday, the Thurnscoe Male Voice Choir, one of many local organisations which Mr. Winnikin has supported, visited his home and gave him a farewell concert, concluding with Auld Lang Syne. The photograph shows Mr. Winnikin, his wife, son and daughter, and the officials of the choir.
