Dearne Valley’s Outside-Left.

Hoyland of Thurnscoe East, has made marked progress as an outside left during this season. Previously he did not take part in inter school matches but showing distinct promise in the trial matches at the beginning of the season he was given the outside left position in the Dearne Valley Association team.

In each game he has shown steady improvement. Although small he has a good turn of speed and centres accurately.

To his school he proved a find. His centres have led to many goals and he has also learned to cut in and have a shot himself.
