Drunk on the Highway
Robert Price bricklayer, Thurnscoe, was summoned for being drunk on the highway at Thurnscoe, on the 11th inst.
Defendant did not appear.
The service of the summons was proved and P.c. Dobbs stated that at 12.15, on Tuesday, the 11th of the present month, he saw the defendant on the highway at Thurnscoe drunk. He lay across the footpath. Witness requested him to get up. Defendant was unable to do so.
Another man came and lifted him up and took him in the direction of his home.
The Bench imposed a fine of 15s. including costs.
