Fashion Show at Biggin Hill

A local girl will be taking part in the W.R.N.S fashion show next week at Biggin Hill International Air Fair – Thursday, May 11 to Sunday, May 14 inclusive.

She is Wren Linda Fowell, a Store’s Assistant, whose parents, Mr and Mrs A.F. Fowell, live at Dane Street North, Thurnscoe.

She’s 19, and one of a team of eight girls modelling 40 dresses. She serving in HMS Culdrose helping with issue, control and ordering of naval and air stores.

10 nations are taking part in the Air Fair and all three British Services are participating, plus a parachute team.

The show is open to the public each day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
