Four Generations Under Same Roof

Four generations living under the same roof – that is the case at “Holly Bank”, Thurnscoe Road, Bolton, where there are four generations of the Bullock family.

The latest additions the family is four months old John Firth, only daughter of Susan and David Firth.

The first generation are Mr and Mrs James Bullock. Mrs Bullock (60) told the “South Yorkshire Times” that Joanne, who is her first great-grandchild, is becoming very small, especially as all the family are around her.

The family been at “Holly Bank” for nine years and previously lived in Caterham, Surrey, where granddaughter Susan was born.

Susan’s mother, Mrs Betty Austin, was born at Barnburgh and moved to the South of England in a marriage to her late husband. She has three children Susan (19), Janet (17) and Richard (14).

Susan’s husband, David Firth (20) comes from Brampton and is training to be an electrical engineer.
