Golden Wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Robinson, of 2, School Street, Thurnscoe, celebrated their Golden Wedding quietly at home on Christmas Eve.

They are a well-known Thurnscoe couple and received numerous conratulations. They were married at Castleford Parish Church.

Mrs Robinson was born at Kingswinford (Staffs) and Mr. Robinson is a native of Whitwood Mere. They came to Thurnscoe 43 years ago and Mr. Robinson was employed as a miner at Hickleton Colliery until his retirement.

Both are 70 years of age and enjoy fairly good health. They have had four sons and five daughters, seven of whom are living. They also have 27 grandchildren and six great-grand-children
