The opening stages were fairly even. Hickleton got through, but were ruled off-side. Subsequently however, they scored a legitimate point by Burgin. No further scoring was done before the interval.
On resuming the Mainers had much the best of the game, and put four goals, whilst ‘the visitors failed to respond.
