Herbert Birchall, a Thurnscoe miner, was fined 10s. at Doncaster on Tuesday, for drunkenness at Thurnscoe on June 19. He had a previous conviction for a similar offence.
Tom Hague, miner, Thurnscoe was fine 12s. at Doncaster on Tuesday for being drunk and disorderly.
For using obscene language at Conisboro’ on July 13, John Swift, miner, of Denaby, was fined at Doncaster on Tuesday.
John W. Deakin, a Bolton miner, was fined 12s. at Doncaster on Tuesday for using obscene language at Bolton on July 12. Inspector Minty said defendant had been previously convicted of embezzlement and for being drunk and disorderly.
For using obscene language at Conisboro’ on July 20, John Smith, a Conisboro’ miner was fined 12s. at Doncaster on Tuesday.
Sarah Lees and Constance Lees, both married women, of Thurnscoe, were fined 9s. eachatDoncaster on Tuesday for using violent and abusive language at Thurnscoe on Wednesday, June 19
Alfred Davies, a Bolton miner, was summoned at Doncaster on Tuesday for £28 15s 6d. arrears due to his wife on a maintenance order. It was stated that he had already been to prison over the arrears, and the Clerk said prisoner was drunk every week-end. His wife had to keep a watch on him. The Bench committed Davies three months, suspending while he pays £1 a week.
John P. Fieldhouse, butcher. and Willey Marriott, glasshand, both of Swinton, summoned at Doncaster on Tuesday for obscuring the number plate of a motor cycle and for aiding and abetting respectively, on July 5, at Denaby.— Fieldhouse was fine 9s. and Marriott 6s.
