Issue of New Ration Books

You Need:

  1. Your present ration book with reference to leave filled in

2. Your identity card

Where To Go :

Mexborough

Roman Terrace Council School: Methodist Free Church Schoolroom, Doncaster Road Shop No.1, West Street; Free Christian Church Hall, Adwick Road.

Each of the above plates will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 15 noon and from 1.30 to 4.30 p.m. from Monday, May 18 to Friday, May inclusive, and from Wednesday, May 27th to May 29th.

The Food in West Street will be open for War Workers only on the above dates from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m.

It Is hoped that the hours arranged will leave no need for queues and congestion.

Swinton and Kilnhurst

Swinton – Food Office, Station Street. Also the following places May 19 to 22 and May 26 to 29 inclusive

Kilnhurst Church Hall, 2.30 to 3.30 p.m.; Swinton— Bridge Boy’s School, 9.30 to 10.30 a.m. Swinton, Common — Blunts Boot Repairing Shop, 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

Conisbrough.—Wednesday, 20th May, Miners Welfare, 10 cm. to 5 p.m.; Friday 22nd May, New Hill Methodist Chapel (opposite Post Office) 10 am. to 5 p.m. ; Thursday, 28 May, Station Road Schools, 10 cm. to 5 p.m.

Denaby Main —Monday, 18th May, Denby Men Co-op. Central Stores, Doncaster Road, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday 26th May, St Alban’s Schools 10 am. to 5 p.m.

For the convenience of persons who are unable to attend at any of the sub. offices above during the day, the Food Office, Station Hotel, Conisbrough’s will be open in the evenings as follows :— Tuesday, 19th May, 5.30 to 8.30 p.m.  Thursday, 21st May , 5,30 to 5.30 Rm.; Wednesday, 27th May, 5.30 to 8.30 p.m.

Conisbrough Parks & Old Denaby

Persons resident in either of these areas who may find It convenient to obtain their books in Denaby Main or Conisbrough may do so at any of the sub- officers stated.

Wath Upon Dearne

Food Control Office, Majestic Buildings, High Street, Wath’s-upon-Deane, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 pm. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bolton – On – Dearne

Food Office Council Offices, Daily 6 to 9 p.m. May 18 to 22nd

Goldthorpe

Horse and Groom Hotel Club Room, daily 6 to 9 p.m.

Thurnscoe

W.V.S.C, Shepherd Lane, daily 6 to 9 p.m., May 18th to 22nd

Great Houghton

Miners Welfare Hall, 18th to 30th May (inclusive but excluding Whit Monday)

One person may make application for any number providing all the Main Ration Books and Identity Cards are produced together.
