Labour Party Beauty Queen

Eighteen-year-old Gwendoline Teasdale, Claremont Bungalow, Thurnscoe West, won for the second time, the title of Beauty Queen of 1951, at the annual New Year’s Eve dance of the Dearne Labour Party, held in the Baths Hall, Thurnscoe on Saturday.

Gwen previously won the title two years ago. Employed at the shoe shop of Field-houses, in the shopping centre, Thurnscoe. Gwen was elected from three other ward queens selected at respective dances a short time ago.
