Lance Corporal Lewis Knight, Of Thurnscoe, a member of the Band of the 1st Battalion the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, receiving a litre of beer specially brewed for the big Autumn Fair in Berlin, after he had played there one evening with the Band.

Of Berlin he says, “It’s a nice city and a very good posting.” His wife, Susan, is there with him.
