Councillor Horace Cutts, of Wath upon Dearne, has been co-opted a member of the Rotherham Board of Guardians, to fill the vacancy created by the death of Coun. T Winfield.

Councillor Colin Ward, of Swinton, speaking in Mexborough on Wednesday night, pronounced in favour of a frank and unprejudiced conference between Mexborough and Swinton on the question of amalgamation.
