Thurnscoe Choir’s Engagement

Thurnscoe Harmonic Male Voice Choir will broadcast for the second time in the North Regional programme on August.

Over 90 per cent, of the members work in the coal mine. The conductor, Mr. Ernest A. Smith, Westfield crescent, works at the coat face in and Main He has been conductor of the (or 12 years and under his leadership numerous trophies have been won. Mr Smith, who has a rich male contralto voice, is also conductor of the church choir at Thurnscoe Wesley Hall, on several occasions he has composed music for the children’s anniversary services.
