Mr. Stott, who is the captain of the Hickleton Main ambulance team, won the cup from 109 competitors with 106 marks out of a possible 107.  The cup is of silver and weights 89 ounces, and is a reproduction of a cup made by Paul Lamerie in 1730.  It stands 14 ½ inches high.  Mr. Stott won the cup in 1939 in the first year of the competition.

For that contest and this years’ he was trained by Mr. J. W. Robinson, ambulance man at Hickleton Main Colliery.
