Jack Hirst, Conisboro, was fined 6s. at Doncaster for riding a cycle without a front light. For having no rear reflector on a cycle, George Long, miner, was fined 9s.

Horace Buncall, 31, newsagent of Brampton Bierlow was fined 7s 6d at Rotherham on Monday for having allowed a dog to wear a collar without a name and address attached.

Mark Roberts, 50, haulage contractor, West Melton, was fined a similar sum for a similar offence.

George Cotton, 22, bricklayer, Old Denaby, was fined 6s. for riding a bicycle without a front light at Thrybergh on January 12th, as was George Campbell, 20, steelworker, of Maltby for a similar offence.

Edith Ellen Hall and Elizabeth Barlow both married of Conisboro’ were fined at Doncaster on Tuesday for violent and abusive language, Mrs. Barlow 6s. and Mrs. Hall 9s.

“I have had a drink. Happy new year to you,” was the remark alleged to have been made to P.c. Childs by James Brown, a Goldthorpe miner, Jack Mason, was summoned at Doncaster on Tuesday for abusive language. Brown was fibbed 30s. and Mason 20s.

Thomas Horner and James Wellings, Denaby miners, were fined 10s. and 13s. respectively for having deposited litter on the highway.

Sidney James Burleigh, miner, Conisboro,’ was fined 7/6 for taking a tow on the rear of a lorry.

For ignoring the one-way traffic sign at Lamphouse Hill, Conisboro,’ James Green, fish merchant, Mexboro’ and Ernest Haydon Gyte, motor driver, were each fined 20s.

Alexander Lewis, a Thurnscoe miner, on a charge of persistent cruelty to his wife, had a maintenance order of 25s. a week made against him.

Edward Long and Tom Rose, labourers, Wombwell, at Barnsley on Wednesday, were fined 5s. and 10s. respectively for being drunk and disorderly.

Walter A. Bates, miner, Swinton, was fined 20s. at Barnsley on Wednesday for driving a motor-cycle with inefficient brakes.

Mark Jones, sewage worker, Wombwell, was fined 10s. at Barnsley for allowing his dog to be at large at night.
