“Princess” on Honeymoon

18 years old Mrs Hazel Rowbotham of 9 Brunswick St, Thurnscoe East, was married five months ago, but she and her husband decided to postpone their holiday until late July.

They decided on Butlins camp, Skegness, and while she was there, Hazel won the title “Holiday Princess of the week.”

A shorthand typist with Mexborough Fire Service, she will now compete in the semifinals of the contest at a Brooklyn holiday late in the year, and if successful, can go on to the finals at the Butlin Reunion in London next March.
