Private F Barber, who was reported in our last issue to be in hospital in France, has died of his wounds.

Mr and Mrs E Barber of Shepherd’s Lane, Thurnscoe, have received a letter from one of the nurses, stating that he passed away about 3 o’clock on Monday afternoon, and that he was unconscious, some hours before he died.

He was buried in Roen cemetery with military honours.
