Driver Beevers, son of Mr and Mrs J Beevers of Lidgett Lane, Thurnscoe is in Hospital with severe shrapnel wounds which have necessitated the amputation of his right leg.

He enlisted in October 1915, and has been in France for two years.

He was formerly employed at Hickleton Main.
