Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Davis, of Coronation Buildings, Thurnscoe, have received, official information that their youngest son, Gnr. L. Davis, died in hospital at Rouen, on July 26th from the effects of (gas poisoning
Gunner. Davis, who was 23 years of age, was very highly respected in Thurnscoe.
He Joined the Forces in January, 1915, and went out to France in September, 1915. He was wounded at the back of Messines in June 1917.
He has another brother serving.
