Another Hickleton Main football player wounded is Pte. J. Goldthorpe, He has been wounded in the thigh and body, and is in hospital in where he is making satisfactory progress.

He joined the Football Battalion in 1915 and went out to France with them. He has been through many engagements, and when on leave a short time ago said that many of the great players they went out with had been killed and wounded.
