Gunner G.A.Robinson

Mr and Mrs Robinson of Edward Street, Thurnscoe, have had a letter from their son Gunner GW Robinson (R.F.A.), stating that he is a prisoner in the hands of the Turks in Asia, having been captured with General Townsend’s forces that Kut.

It is 16 months since his parents received any news from him. He has been in the army nine years.

His younger brother is now in hospital recovering from an illness, contract in France, having been previously wounded.
