Private T Trueman

Mr and Mrs J Trueman, of 69, High Street Thurnscoe of received official confirmation that their son private T.Truman (Scottish rifles) died of wounds in hospital in France.
The hospital chaplain states that private Truman bore is pain manfully.

He was an only child, and was 31 years of age. He was formerly a prominent member of the Young Men’s Bible Class, and also the Thurnscoe Institute.

He worked on the surface at Hickleton Main, and joined the Army in March 1916, going to France in November.
