Mr C Wilson, builder and contractor of Hawthorne House, Thurnscoe, has received an official intimation that his son, Private G.A. Wilson who was reported wounded and missing August 26, 1917 is believed killed.

Private Wilson joined the Army 1914 was out in France over two years.

This is the second son of Mr C Wilson but has fallen, and he has also lost a son-in-law.

He has another son in France.

Private G.A. Wilson was formerly employed at Houghton Main
