Pte. P. T. Wright, Y. & L., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Wright, 53, High Street, died of wounds on September 18. His parents have received a letter from a chaplain who says:

“Your son was brought into our dressing-station about 11 o’clock last night, severely wounded, and passed away within a few minutes of being admitted. I was with him when he died, but he, was quite unconscious before death.

We buried him to-day in the British cemetery, in the sure and certain hope of a glorious resurrection.”

Pte. Wright, who was 23 years of age, formerly worked at Hickleton Main, and he had only been in France six weeks.

He was a member of the Wesleyan Church choir.
