Appointed to Hospital Committee

The head of Hickleton Main Colliery medical centre, Mr Albert Stott of Tudor Street, Thurnscoe has been appointed to the Rotherham and   Mexborough Hospital    Management    Committee in succession to Mr A. Fouchard of Bolton – on – Dearne, who died last year.

Mr. Stott’s interest in hospital work goes back over 20 years, and for 10 years, until the changeover in 1948, he represented Hickleton Main underground workers on Mexborough Montagu Hospital Management Board.

He is a Divisional Superintendent of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.
