Thurnscoe Man is Missing
A 39-years-old Thurnscoe man, who has suffered on two previous occasions from attacks of amnesia, is missing from his home at 53, Chapel Lane, Thurnscoe.
He is Mr. Ernest Davis, father of five young children, who left his home on Friday and has not yet returned.
His 34-years-old wife, Mrs. Eller Davis, told the “South Yorkshire Times” yesterday that only three weeks ago her husband had been missing for a whole day, finding himself unknowingly at Doncaster.
“My husband has seen the doctor about these attacks, but the doctor described them as being mild attacks and we didn’t worry.”
Mr. Davis, who is 5ft. 9 ins. in height, with dark hair and deeply tanned, has been ill since April this year.
When Mr Davis left the house on Friday—to visit a union official —he was wearing a green lovat suit and a gabardine raincoat.
“He had little money on him,” said Mrs Davis, “though he did have his bank book.
Mr Davis had his hand crushed in a colliery accident four years ago, but he was able to work until early this year.
