Thurnscoe Ploughing.
Good work was done at the 31st annual ploughing matches of the Thurnscoe Ploughing Society, held yesterday. There were 39 entries, and in the unavoidable absence, through illness, of Captain Warde-Aldam, Mr. E. Storey, of Frickley, took over the duties of chairman.
The judges were: Messrs. W. Clark (Sheffield), G. Cawkell (Thirsk), and W. Chatterton (Doncaster).
