Thurnscoe Thrills

For their first production of the season, Thurnscoe Amateur Dramatic Society will give Roland Wild’s “The Devil’s Bride” in St. Helen’s Schoolroom, Thurnscoe, for five nights from. January 26th to 31st.

This is an unusual play and I am told that Thurnscoe audiences can expect some thrills. The piece has eight characters—six of them men—and one of the two female players dies in the first act!

Producer will be Mr. J. H. Simpson, who will also appear on the stage in a small part.

This will be the first time the play has been given by an amateur society and, in all, its third production. It has been given once before In the South by a repertory company and once before in the North, also by a repertory company.
