Three promising Thurnscoe Vics players are to have trials with Second Division clubs this week.

They are W. Aveyard. centre forward, who has scored goals in his last five games, who goes to Bury today. He stands 5ft. 9in. and scales 10s 7lb.

F. Godfrey, left full-back, and E. Wroe. right wing, go to Sheffield United tomorrow. Godfrev stands 5ft. 11in. and weighs 11st. Wroe, who hails from Birdwell, is 5ft. 8in . scaling 11 st., and has shown great promise on the wing.
