The “feast” match between Wath Athletic and Thurnscoe Park Avenue attracted an excellent gate at Wath yesterday.  After several good efforts by the home forwards, Hardwick shot over, while the Thurnscoe custodian, Adamson saved cleverly from Vaughan.

After thirty minutes, Briscoe scored for the visitors, but Wath pressed until the interval and H. Vaughan equalised.

In the second half Wath attacked hotly, but  they shot erratically. Near the close Sylvester saved cleverly on three occasions.
