Wedding: Ardron & Wright
Miss Mable Ardron daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Ardron 43, Bank Street, Mexborough and Mr. James Henry Wright, son of Mr. and Mrsl W. Wright of 53, High Street, Thurnscoe were married at Swinton Zion Church on Saturday, Pastor Wardle officiating.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a flowered georgette gown with hat to tone and carried a bouquet of cream roses. She was attended by Miss May Wright (sister of bridegroom) whose dress was of green silk marocain, Miss and Miss Winnie Gale (Leeds) and Miss Mary Wright (nieces of bridegroom), whose dresses were of blue crepe-de-chin, with wreaths of roses and forget-me-nots. Each had a bouquet of pink carnations and sweet peas.
The ceremony was choral, the hymn “The voice that breathed” being sung and suitable music played on the organ by Mr. J. W. Wright. The best man was Mr. Robert Wright and the groomsman Mr. C. Wright. Afterwards a reception was held by the bride’s parents and later the happy couple left for a honeymoon at Southport.
