Mr. Leonard Skitt, the Hickleton Cricket Club’s wicket-keeper, and third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Skitt, 7, George Street, Highgate, was married on Monday at St. Helen’s, Thurnscoe, by the Rev. G. H. Wheeler, to Miss Mary Ellen Ayscough, only daughter of

Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Ayscough, 9, Wensley Street, Thurnscoe East.

The bride was given away by her father and wore powder blue floral voile and carried lilies and sweet peas.

Her maids, Misses Edith Edwards, Nancy Taylor, Morrie Mead and Ethel Holmes, wore floral voile, lemon silk and blue satin, and carried posies.

Mr. Herbert Skitt was best man.
