Wedding:  Bradbury & Parker

At St. Helen’s Church, Thurnscoe, on Saturday, Mr. Oswald Parker, second son of Mr. and Mrs. F, Parker, 32, Chapel Street, Thurnscoe (formerly of Birdwell), was married to Miss Hilda Bradbury, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Bradbury, 28, Common Road, Thurnscoe, the Rev. G. H. Wheeler officiating.

The bride was given away by her father and wore royal blue georgette trimmed with lace, and carried yellow roses, red carnations, and maiden-hair fern.

Her maids, Misses Dorothy Bradbury and Bertha Good, wore beige crepe suede and carried white carnations, cream roses, and maiden-hair fern.  Two small attendants were Doreen Key and Betty Winfrey, in crepe suede and pink silk respectively, and carrying baskets of tulips, narcissi, roses and fern.

Mr. George Bradbury was best man and Mr. W. Jolley, groomsman.
