Wedding: Heptinstall & Knighton

On Saturday at St Helen’s Church, Thurnscoe, Miss Alice Heptinstall, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Heptinstall, 55, Colley Street, Barnsley, was married to Mr. Clifford Knighton, second son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Knighton, 67, Briton Street Thurnscoe, the Rev. G. H. Wheeler officiating.

Mr. L. Thorpe gave away the bride who wore floral crepe de chine and was attended by Miss Jennie Gawthorpe (Goldthorpe), dressed in brown and orange crepe de chine.

Mr. T. Knighton was best man and Mr. Claud Smith groomsman.
