Mr H Ogley (Thurnscoe) and Miss E.M. Humphreys (Thurnscoe).

The marriage of Miss Ethel May Humphreys, daughter of Mr and Mrs W Humphreys, 61, Windsor Street, Thurnscoe East, and Mr Ronald Ogley, youngest son of Mr AE Ogley, and the late Mrs Ogley, 27 John St, Thurnscoe, was solemnised at Saint Hilda’s Church.

The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr W Smart. She was attired in ivory satin with a headdress, and wreath and veil. She carried white chrysanthemums.

Bridesmaids were Misses Sylvie’s Humphreys, Heather Ann Ford, Jean Ogley and Ivy Young.

The bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by his niece, Jean Ogley. The best man was Mr Cyril Garbutt and the groomsman Mr Leslie Ogley.
