Wedding – Kempson & Fletcher
The wedding took place at the Wesleyan Central, Thurnscoe, on Saturday, of Mr. Thompson Kempson, second son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Kempson, 24, Murrell Road, Thurnscoe, and Miss. Edna Fletcher, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Fletcher, 137, Thorneley Crescent, Thurnscoe.
The bridegroom is a member of the Birmingham police force and popular member of the divisional football team.
He is also well known in Thurnscoe.
The bride was given away by her father and wore white georgette and iace and carried pink carnations. She was attended by Miss E. Kempson as maid and Mrs. A. Levett as matron of honour, both wearing floral silk taffeta and black picture hats, and carrying black evening bags, the gifts of the bridegroom.
The best man was Mr. Kenneth Kempson and the groomsman Mr. J. F. Dyson.
The couple are honeymooning in West Yorkshire and will reside in Birmingham
