Cannon Sorby solemnised the marriage between Miss Elsie Lloyd, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Lloyd, of Rotherham Road, Great Houghton, and Mr. W. Davies, of Garden Street, Thurnscoe, in the Darfield Parish Church on Monday.
The bride wore an ivory crepe de chene, with silk embroidered net veil and coronet of pearls. She carried a bouquet of pale lemon tulips. Her bridesmaids were Miss Emma Lloyd (sister) and Miss Beatrice Davies (sister of the bridegroom), in powder blue suede georgette, with straw and georgette picture hats, and carrying pule pink tulips: Misses Maude Peel, Ivy Lloyd, Lilian Poxton, and Dolly Lloyd in salmon coloured silk, with dainty net cape, carrying pink and lemon flowers. The best man and groomsman were Mr. C. Lloyd and Mr. If. Brooke. A large number of guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd.
